I'm writing a three-page paper on carbon sequestration, the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions on the planet via storage and reuse of the byproduct of all things industrialized. Those of you who known my relative dislike for applying forced induction to every single car nowadays and into the foreseeable future should know exactly why I'm not enjoying writing this fucking bullshit informative paper on a serious global issue...
It's due Tuesday at 12pm, and I have about 3/4 of a page done so far. Yay!

I would have told the teacher that I can't write about that subject due to personal beliefs and requested a new assignment.

Know thy enemy best.
Just know that Turbochargers are not the only way to do this. Turbine engines had significantly increased efficiency when heat exchangers took hot exhaust and heated the intake.
GM and Ford engineers failed to use this principal, which was the exact reason they were never able to produce a functional turbine car that didn't pose a threat to roadways and pedestrians (and the environment, through thermodynamics and the general principal of equilibrium, and heat dissipates towards cooler areas).
So, you can easily put a ton of super cool, relevant info breaking things into both the history of attempts to recycle industrial emissions, and the current state of engineering for how it applies to cars today. Don't forget how F1 manages their turbochargers either, along with KERS systems.
Most importantly, the recycling of industrial byproduct only allows the combustion engine to continue being used. It's the key to keeping the dino juices flowing through my car, rather than being burned by a power plant just so I can keep charging said car.
Goddamn, I'd have so much fun writing a paper like that, I'd probably be done by now.
Get cracking. Stop looking at Porsches, they're all going to have turbos anyway. Preserve your memories, and stop looking at new ones. They're going to suck.

I suspect you'll need some form of performance enhancement drug, clearly you're compensating down there.

I'm in the library trying to crank out 10 pages on this: What makes for a good economic outcome, according to neoclassical theory? Discuss the assumptions, logic and welfarist normative framework of neoclassical theory.
I have no idea what I've written or what to write next. All I know is that I have 4 pages so far.

Trade you papers, I have an 8 page paper that is to talk about the differences and similarities in Baroque and Neoclassical Architecture. How the earlier style affected the later and how the later is still seen in art and architecture today. Oh and it has to focus just on just that style here in North America.

Still an NA guy at heart, but I get it. Some recent turbo stuff, like the 1.0 EcoBoost has caught my eye recently, but yeah, nothing like near-instnt acceleration.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA, nope. I'm reading the densest, most theoretical shit I have ever read. It's required to write the paper. And, on top of that I partake in the neoclassical school of thought, and my teacher is a Marxist who believe that anything else is subordinate. So, yah, I'm writing for a Communist pig and doing the same thing you are. Writing against my beliefs. FUUUUCCCCKKKKK THHHIIIISSSSSSSS

I managed to keep a straight face through carbon "emissions", but lost it at "serious global issue".

People ask me why I don't cut the native vegetation in my back yard. I tell them I am sequestering carbon by letting the plants grow. But I live in the desert and most plants do not get really large.

Actually? That's awesome! :D
Do any of them ask what sequestrating is?

No. Most seem aware of the meaning. Most also are a bit jealous because they have to keep their "Better Homes & Gardens" look for their "whatever". I live on 3/4 acre in the city. The house was built in '85. The neighborhood covenants are long forgotten. I have the traditional SW rock landscaping in the front. The back is a mixture of native flowering plants, cactus, short grass prairie grasses and several other plant species that are native and drought tolerant native trees.

I will see if I can find any decent photos of the back. This is a bad time to take photos. The fall flowering plants are done and the late summer ones are done. The grasses have gone dormant. Just like most landscapes, the best is done. The only beautiful thing left is the Bosque. The cottonwoods are just brilliant right now with yellow and yellowish orange.

Well, didn't BMW put turbos of different sizes on their engines to reduce this lag? I remember the E60 535d had one little turbo, one big one. The small one would spool up nice and quickly, giving time for the big one to kick in. They're still at it with this tricky turbo business with the X6 M50d, because that has three turbos.
